When the traditional route just hasn't been enough, Functional Link Occupational Therapy is committed to providing a holistic, family centered approach to meeting your goals. Pre-authorizations, phone calls, faxes, re assessments, disputes,  letters of medical necessity, and more requirements take away from the face to face time that makes all the difference. Functional Link is an out of network provider for insurance plans, but that doesn't mean you're responsible for the full cost!!

All fees are due at time of service, and then we use Reimbursify to easily submit your claims for out-of-network health insurance reimbursement at no cost online or using the free app. More info here!

Accepted forms of payment include major credit/debit cards, cash, or check. Ask about prompt payment discounts, bundle pricing for packaged services, referral discounts, and sliding scale/payment plans.

We also accept payment from Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Savings Accounts (FSA). It is up to you to ensure that the charges are considered an approved medical expense by your plan.

Please have your insurance information available during your initial consult. I can help you verify:

  • Out-of-network coverage for occupational therapy
  • Deductible for out-of-network services
  • The remaining amount of  out-of-network deductible (year to date)
  • The percentage reimbursed by insurance company, after the deductible has been met

Ask your insurance company about IN NETWORK or GAP EXTENSIONS!!! I cannot stress this enough. Providers are limited and wait lists are long. Insurance companies can make exceptions for out of network providers on a case by case basis when:

  • the provider can see the patient within a reasonable amount of time
  • the provider Is within a reasonable distance to the patient
  • A participating provider is not qualified to evaluate or treat the patient’s condition

Chances are, you have! Occupational therapy is a unique profession, and the skill sets of practitioners are equally diverse. It is important to choose an OT that has the skill set and knowledge to support your specific needs, and can practice at the top of their license without the restrictions of insurance reimbursement or IEP requirements. You deserve a skilled clinician that can focus ALL of their efforts on the progress, and not fighting with insurance companies. Functional Link Occupational Therapy can collaborate with you and your team to help your family reach their goals in all aspects of life, not just at school or in the clinic.

This just means that sessions are held in a location convenient to you! This could be at your home, a park, daycare/preschool, grandma's house, the grocery store, or any other community setting. The possibilities are truly endless. With a mobile approach to therapy, we can:

  • save travel time
  • facilitate success in child's natural environment
  • practice skills in a variety of settings to promote long lasting generalization

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment and hospital fees. Make sure your healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
