Understanding the educational system and advocating for a student’s needs can be challenging, especially for children who require specialized support. These services are designed to offer guidance, expertise, and advocacy to navigate these challenges and successfully advocate for their child's educational rights and needs:

In-Person Collaboration Meetings

Personalized support to discuss your child's educational needs, review IEP documents, plan advocacy strategies, and collaborate on the development of IEP goals and accommodations. Also available virtually. $50/hr

Data Collection, Document Review, and Collaboration Communications

A thorough review of your child's educational records, assessments, and current IEP documents, along with support in collecting relevant data and communicating with school personnel. $30/hr

School-Based Observation and Collaboration Package

This comprehensive package includes a 2-hour skilled observation, a 1-hour debrief with the family, a full written report with suggestions, ongoing email support, and up to 1 follow-up observation. $350

Formal IEP Meeting Representation

Expert representation at IEP and related meetings, including preparation, negotiation of services, and ensuring compliance with regulations. $250

Independent OT Evaluation

Comprehensive, standardized assessments to identify fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and other needs, providing individualized recommendations for school-based services and strategies. $200

Education Advocacy Services

Apply expert knowledge of human function and occupation to legal cases, providing professional opinions, evaluations, and testimony.

WHAT IS FORENSIC OT?

Forensic OT services encompass a wide range of areas, including personal injury cases, workers' compensation claims, disability determinations, and other legal proceedings. We conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to gather objective and reliable evidence that can be utilized in legal proceedings.

Occupational therapists possess a deep understanding of the relationship between an individual's abilities, performance, and their environment. OTs can evaluate the impact of various factors on an individual's occupational performance, functional abilities, and overall well-being.

COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION

We conduct assessments and evaluations to determine an individual's functional abilities, limitations, and the impact of their injuries or conditions on their occupational performance. These assessments may include school-based assessments, functional capacity evaluations, ergonomic assessments, vocational assessments, and more.

IEP COMPLIANCE

We review and analyze Individual Education Programs (IEPs) to ensure compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and other applicable laws and regulations. This includes identifying any gaps or discrepancies and advocating for necessary modifications or accommodations to meet the unique needs of each child.

ADVOCACY AND COLLABORATION

Collaborating with attorneys, school districts, IEP teams, and other professionals to advocate for the best interests of the child, ensuring their educational rights, transition planning, and workplace inclusion are upheld. I work closely with individuals, families, and professionals to develop effective strategies and negotiate favorable outcomes.

TRANSITION SERVICES

Receive expert guidance and support in the development of transition plans for young adults with disabilities. This includes assessing their skills, strengths, and areas of need, and collaborating with individuals, families, educators, and employers to ensure successful transitions to post-secondary education, employment, and independent living.

WORKPLACE ACCOMODATIONS

We offer expertise in workplace accommodations to ensure that young adults with disabilities can thrive in their chosen employment settings. I can assess individuals' functional abilities, analyze job demands, and propose reasonable accommodations that promote equal access, productivity, and independence.
